Action for Hope Initiative concludes its 3rd round at Dwair Village in Assiut

Culture Resource in cooperation with Ahmed Bahaa El Din Friends Association, held the closing event of the 3rd Action for Hope at the Youth Center beside Ahmed Bahaa El-Din Friends Association, in Al Dowair Village, Assiut, on Tuesday 12 November 2013, at 5:00pm.
The event included a performance by the renowned flute player “Alam” with his band, photography and video exhibitions of the outcome of the workshops with the participation of the residents, and performances by children and youth of Al Dowair Village.
The volunteer artists, doctors, teachers and athletes who took part in this action are: Ahmad Ezzat, Ahmed El Shami, Ayman Helmy, Basma El Husseiny, Hamdy Reda, Mohamed Said, Nada Riad and Osama El Metwaly from Egypt, Idriss Ekla from Morocco, Hamdy Jouiny, Sayf Aldin Al Jelassi from Tunisia, and Maan Al Hasbani from Syria.
From 3 to 13 November, the Action for Hope initiative provided activities and cultural events for the people of Al Dowair Village. The program included cultural workshops in theater, music, visual arts, film and creative writing, artistic events, vocational training workshops in computer graphics and video filming and editing, basic education classes for primary and preparatory school children using speed learning methods, basic medical aid, sports activities, and psychological consultations for individuals. It also included distributions of donated books, art materials, musical instruments, medicines and medical supplies, computers, and sports gear. A Journey for 105 children of Al Dowair Village has also been organized to visit Cave Church, the Convent of Virgin Mary at Dayr Durunkah and Paradise Park in Assiut.
