March 2015 round:

Abdul Aziz Taleb received a grant to travel from Doha to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Butheina Kazim received a grant to travel from Dubai to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Shady Zein Eldine received a grant to travel from Doha to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Dalia Naous received a grant to travel from France to Cairo to take part in “A Breeze of Dance; a contemporary dance festival held in Alexandria since 2011.

Dina Daboub received a grant to travel from Amman to Chefchaouen, Morocco to take part in the “International Meeting for Arts and Literature for Tolerance” which is an assembly for poetry and plastic arts.

Idris Alloush received a grant to travel from Morocco to Egypt to take part in the poetic and cultural events of El Ain Publishing House, as well as a workshop about “The Modern Moroccan Poem” in Merit Publishing House, and seminars with various NGOs.  

Hania Mroue received a grant to travel from Beirut to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast. She took part in the workshop as a founding member in “NAAS” and presented Metropolis Art Cinema/Beirut experiment as well as attending the general assembly held on the sidelines of the workshop.

Elaf Al Kenzi received a grant to travel from Khartoum to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Jolie Votar received a grant for 15 Palestinian musicians, who work in Al Kamandjati Association in Palestine, to travel from Palestine to Lebanon to take part in the music training camp for 5 days in St. Michael Hotel in Arz Al Shouf, Lebanon.

Qais Zayed received a grant to travel from Tunisia to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Lina Ghanem received a grant to travel from Ramallah to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Marina Barham received a grant for 5 artists specialized in puppet making and street theatre to travel from Palestine to Tunisia to take part in “Street Arts Festival” in Ksar Hellal.

Mahdy Houd received a grant to travel from Tangier to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Nancy Naous received a grant for 5 artists to travel from Paris to Beirut to perform “The Third Circle”; a music and dance performance presented in the form of a seminar.

Nesreen Wahbi received a grant to travel from Beirut to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast.

Talal Afifi received a grant to travel from Khartoum to Cairo to take part in “Arab Arthouse Cinema Workshop” organized by The Network of Arab Arthouse Screens (NAAS) and Cimatheque, in collaboration with ArteEast. He took part in the workshop as a founding member in “NAAS” and he also attended the general assembly held on the sidelines of the workshop.

 

June 2015 round:

Telepoetic band received a grant to travel from Cairo to Rabat to participate in the “Visa for Music” platform and market that supports musicians and music production in Africa and the Middle East.

Taki ould Abdel Haye received a grant to travel from Nouakchott to Tunisia to take part in the International Festival of University Theater in Tunisia.

Masrah Ensemble, received a travel grant to support the travel of Sobhi Shamel and Taghrid Shuqair from Leipzig and London, respectively, to Beirut to take part in the opening workshop of a project that combines Syrian and Palestinian refugees with Lebanese and European actors.

Tarek Yamani received a grant to travel from Beirut to Rabat to take part in “Visa for Music” platform and market that supports musicians and music production in Africa and the Middle East.

Abdullah Alhitut received a grant to travel from Morocco to Tunisia to take part in an international art residency in Sidi Bou Said over the course of ten days.

Omar Sa’doun received a grant to travel from Morocco to Tunisia to take part in an international art residency in Sidi Bou Said over the course of ten days.

Qattan Foundation received a grant to support the travel of 12 summer school participants from various Arab countries to Jordan, to take part in “Drama in Education” courses and enrich the dialogue about teachers’ experiences with students in using drama in education.

Zoukak Theatre Company received a grant to support the travel of 12 of their members from Beirut to Cairo, to perform “He Who Saw Everything” as a part of “Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre”.

 

September 2015 round:

Hadi Labeeb Iskandar Hanna won the award to travel from Cairo to Al Rabat, Morocco, with 8 members of Cairokee to participate in the 2nd edition of the festival “Visa for Music” – an Africa-Middle East Music Meeting.

Ossama Halal with his 13-member theatre group “Koon” won the award to travel from Beirut to Tunis to participate in the 17th Carthage Theatre Days where they present their theatrical dance performance “Above Zero”.

Hamza el Fasiki was granted the award to travel from Fes in Morocco to Ramallah in Palestine to participate in “Cultural Transit” a cultural project of Cultural Innovators Network. Hamza el Fasiki is an artist, author and social activist.

Yazan Roussan with music band Autostrad won the award for 8 band members to travel from Amman to Casablanca to participate in the 2nd edition of the festival “Visa for Music”.

Yasmine Qaddumi won the award that supports the travel of a group of 10 Arab cinema directors to attend the Dubai International Film Festival. The members of the group live in different cities: Beirut, Paris, Ramallah, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Los Angeles. They all are members in the platform “FutureLogic” that focuses on the development of independent Palestinian movies.

 

December 2015 round:

Estabrak Al Ansari: Received a grant to travel from Britain to Morocco. She will participate in the Marrakech Biennale, which is a non-profit organization that aims to position Marrakech as a platform for contemporary art in Africa, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean.

Edward Maallem: Received a grant to travel from Palestine to Tunisia. He will participate in a workshop organized within the framework of the N’eeshou Fann project that supports the decentralization of cultural work as well as culture and arts in marginalized areas.

Mohamed Tahiri: Received a grant that supports the travel of seven artists from the music band Hawssa from Morocco to Egypt. The band will give a concert as part of the activities of the fifth edition of the D-CAf Festival in Cairo.

Rami Atallah: Received a grant for four artists from the Band Shoukran Jazzilan band to travel from Egypt to Jordan to participate in the fifth edition of the Amman Jazz Festival.

Abdellatif Benfaidoul: Received a grant to facilitate the travel of ten artists coming from the United States, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Switzerland to Morocco. The artists will attend the Art of Media workshop that consists of seminars on the culture of media arts.

Kamilya Jubran: Received a grant to travel from France to Egypt. She will participate and design the Cycles project that focuses on musical and artistic capacity building.

Nesrine Chaabouni: Received a grant to facilitate the travel of two artists from Tunisia to Jordan to participate in the 10th edition of the Zakharef in Motion Festival, taking place in Amman. The festival aims to introduce its audience to the language of contemporary dance, and to contribute to fighting the negative culture of shame and “haram” that is widely associated with the human body.

Fidaa Ataya: Received a grant to travel from Palestine to Beirut to participate in capacity building workshops on Playback Theater.

Fadia Al Tannir: Received a travel grant from Lebanon to Tunisia to supervise and conduct a workshop about how to make puppets for the children of the Beni M’Tir area in the Jandouba district.

Bahaa Ansary: Received a grant to travel from France to Egypt to participate in the International Forum on Heritage and Modernity that will discuss the relationship between music heritage and contemporary musical trends.

Dina Shilleh: Received a grant to travel from Palestine to Egypt to participate in the International Forum on Heritage and Modernity that will discuss the relationship between music heritage and contemporary musical trends.

Kawan Abna: Received a grant to travel from Iraq to Egypt to participate in the International Forum on Heritage and Modernity that will discuss the relationship between music heritage and contemporary musical trends.

Raad Al Zaben: Received a grant to travel from Jordan to Egypt to participate in the International Forum on Heritage and Modernity that will discuss the relationship between music heritage and contemporary musical trends.
