Dina El Wedidi

Dina is from Cairo, Egypt and she graduated from Cairo Universityin 2008. Dina joined El Warsha theater company at age 19, where she learned how to sing many types of traditional music, from El Sira el Hilalayia (Saidi epic poetry) to the classics of the 1920s. Dina sang with the band Habayebna that performed El Sheikh Imam Songs and other folkloric songs. She participated in numerous workshops and worked alongside renowned artists and is currently preparing for her first album.

JadaL is an Arabic Rock Band, formed in 2003 Amman, Jordan. JadaL started out making rock covers for classic songs. They then released their single “Salma” composed which created a great following in Jordan.

“Arabic Rocks” is the first album for JadaL released in August 2009 containing 14 songs. JadaL’s second album titled El Makina was released late 2012 and contained 10 original songs.

Jowan Safadi and FishSamak

Jowan Safadi of Palestine is an alternative singer, songwriter and guitarist, from Nazareth. He is the front man of the bands FishSamak and X as well as the former Lenses, that produced 3 studio albums before they disbanded. In 2008 his single Ghool made it to number one on local radio charts. Since that time other singles have followed, and the album Namrud was released in February 2012.

Macadi Nahhas

Born in Jordan, Macadi Nahhas obtained a diploma in music from the Music Conservatory of Beirut, and began her music career with her first live performance at Jerash festival in 1997. She released the album Kan Ya Ma Kan in 2003 which included songs from Iraqi heritage and featured the participation of the Iraqi National Orchestra led by the renowned conductor Monahamd Amin Izzat. Other albums include KhilKhal, Jowwa Al Ahlam, and Ela Salem. Macadi is currently touring widely to promote her 5th studio album, due for release this year. Her music mixes folkloric sounds from the Middle East with a contemporary twist, mixing Arabic tunes with Cuban and Latin jazz
