“Those Shoes Were Made for Walking”
A contemporary dance performance by Nancy Naous (Lebanon)
The contemporary dance performance “Those Shoes Were Made for Walking”, directed by the Lebanese artist Nancy Naous, took place from 12 to 14 September at Al Madina Theater in Beirut, Lebanon. This project seeks to translate into dance the events which have recently occurred in the Arab world as shown through two dancers, the man (Nadim Bahsoun) who is sitting on the couch throughout the show, and the woman (Dalia Naous) who looks like the TV reporter who forecasts the weather every night.
This project received production grant from Culture Resource in 2011.
