Two Palestinian Theatre Performances presented by
Al-Harah Theatre in El Sobah Theatre
In cooperation with Culture Resource, Al-Harah Theatre presented two theatre performances in El Sobah Theatre at Al-Azhar Park on Friday the 2nd of February 2007 at 5:00 pm then at 8:30 pm.
Al-Harah Theatre presented at 5:00 pm the magical multimedia children’s play The Old Man Sem’an, which is based on a Palestinian folk story about an old man and his love to his land. At 8:30 pm of the same night the troupe presented Born in Bethlehem, a play that’s directed to worldwide audiences, aiming to revive the Holy Land’s past and present.
AL-Harah Theatre presented the children’s play Hanin Al Bahr last year at El Genaina Theatre in collaboration with Culture Resource.
AL-Harah theatre is a Palestinian theatre troupe comprising of former members of Inad Theatre. The troupe participated in several Arab and international festivals and received many awards.
Al-Harah Theatre is a non-profit organization, based in Biet Jala, Palestine. It aims to produce and market theatre plays for all members of society, regionally and internationally. It also aims to train new cadres in the field of theatre and is working on founding the first institute for teaching theatrical arts, researching and developing theatre in Palestine.
