Višnja Kisić is an ecoculturologist who works as an educator, researcher, and activist in exploring intersections of culture, politics, and ecology. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sport and Psychology Novi Sad, lecturer at UNESCO Chair MA in Cultural Policy and Management in Belgrade, and a visiting professor at the University Lyon II and International Relations University Beijing. Besides her academic work and teaching at several universities in Serbia and internationally, she has been engaged in cultural and heritage practice, policy-making, consultancy, and activism, and has led projects, training, lectures, and research in over 20 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. She is a co-founder of Creative Mentorship and believes in mutual learning and support between all kinds of generations, professions, and beings. In the last few years, she’s been an inhabitant and caretaker of the Forest University, Fruška Gora, a place for counter-hegemonic ways of learning and living, dedicated to steering new ecological and socio-political imaginations.
