Shaimaa has 13 years of accumulative experience in the field of Civil Society, particularly in cultural management, heritage development, social entrepreneurship, capacity building, youth development, and urban management. Over the years, Shaimaa has worked with various organizations as a researcher and program manager, including the UNESCO Regional Office for Egypt, Sudan, and Libya, the British Museum, Mahatat for Contemporary Art, Action for Hope, and 10 Tooba for Applied Research on the Built Environment. Currently, she is co-founder and managing partner at Collective Routes and is pursuing her PhD in Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage at IMT School for Advanced Studies in Italy. She obtained her master’s degree in Cultural Heritage Management (CHM) in 2014 from Sorbonne, Paris 1, and a specialized Diploma in Research Methods and Skills from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands in 2015.
