Makouk is an organization dedicated to designing activities that help people discover their own faculties in arts, culture, environment, science and innovation in entertaining ways.
It implements diverse activities that include games, experimentation and educational programs designed for children and adults, therefore enabling them to express themselves freely.
Makouk designs educational products and spaces that encourage critical thinking, active playing, self-expression and self-learning based on the needs of the local community. Cairo Capsules - An alliance between Arab Digital Expression Foundation - Adef, Makouk, and Medrar For Contemporary Art
The alliance seeks to establish a series of activities that give access to knowledge and skills resources, while offering a space to network between individuals and/or groups of people interested in arts, design, technology, interactive arts and game design. We do this through workshops and culminating in a residency program to produce collaborative projects be they performances, experiments, games or digital tools.
