Dima Orsho is an established and seasoned performer and composer. She holds an M.A in opera performance from The Boston Conservatory and B.M. in Voice and Clarinet from the Damascus Conservatory.
Dima appeared on world-class stages, participated in several international festivals and shared the stage with Yo-Yo Ma, Jivan Gasparian, Nuria Rial, Manfred Leuchter, Michel Godard, Salman Gambarov, Aynur, Kinan Azmeh and many others.
She composed the soundtrack for the feature film, “Under The Ceiling,” by Nidal Al-Debs and for three documentaries “Love Boat” & “Newcomers” by Maan Mouslli and “A Comedian in a Syrian Tragedy” by Rami Farah.
Dima is a member of “Hewar Trio” with whom she released three albums. Her first solo album “Arabic Lieder” was released in 2008. In 2017, Dima was featured in “Sing Me Home”, the Best World Music Grammy Award-winning album by Yo-Yo Ma and The SilkRoad Ensemble. Dima was one of six collaborators, including the legendary Tina Turner, performing in the album “Awakening Beyond” released in 2017. Dima’s new solo album “Hidwa: Lullabies for Troubled Times” was released in 2019, the same year as the album “Mother”, a new collaboration with the Spanish soprano Nuria Rial and Musica Alta Ripa which was nominated for Opus Classic Award 2020.

Dima Orsho is the first Syrian soprano with Masters degree in opera performance from The Boston Conservatory, holding as well a B.M. degree in Opera performance & clarinet from Damascus High Institute of Music and Drama. Since 2003, she has been a member of Hewar ensemble alongside Kinan Azmeh and Issam Rafea. / Jasser Haj Youssef is a Tunisian violinist whose work as a player and composer deals with a wide variety of musical genres: Oriental music, contemporary music and jazz. Belonging to the young guard of the soloists of Arab music, he played with many great musicians all over the world. / Kinan el Azmeh was the first Arab musician to win first prize in the Nicolay Rubinstein International Youth competition in Moscow, Russia. Trained in his native Damascus and a graduate of New York’s Juilliard School and the City University of New York, clarinetist Kinan Azmeh has won international acclaim as a composer, performer, improviser and recording artist in a wide range of musical genres
