Culture Resource and Action for Hope announce the beneficiaries of the second and final round of the first component of the Stand for Sudanese Artists initiative that aims to support Sudanese artists and cultural actors who are at risk and help them settle in a host country/city. The support entails a fixed amount of €2,000 per grant.
Based on the jury results, the second round of the first component will provide support for 17 artists and cultural actors who had migrated abroad (76% in Egypt and 24% in Kenya), and for 12 artists and cultural actors who remain inside Sudan. The gender distribution of the grantees is as follows: 72% of the artists are males and 28% are females. This follows the initiative’s first round that provided support for 58 artists and cultural actors inside and outside Sudan.
