Editions Snoubar Bayrout is a small publishing house that was established in 2013 in Ayn el Mrayseh by Hala Bizri, along with sibling Marwan Bizri, and with Jana Traboulsi and Yasmine Taan. In its first year, Snoubar Bayrout published five books. Today, it has more than 12 books in its catalog. Towards the end of 2019, the publishing house moved to a small space in rue Monot, where it established a small bookshop that sells books, magazines, films and music from Lebanon. The publishing house hosts researchers, linguists and artists. Snoubar Bayrout is passionate about printed books and innovative texts. It strives to pave new ways into language and knowledge from the past and present and from Lebanon and the world.
