The Palestine Writing Workshop was founded in Ramallah in 2009. It aims at supporting and developing arts and literary writing and reading in society by implementing programs that develop the skills of writers and artists. It also aims at creating free spaces for them to work closely with society as well as encouraging all members of society to read.
The workshop implements programs targeting in particular children and youth, as well as writers and enthusiasts in general.
The programs use literature and arts as a way to promote a decent life and understanding of reality. They also encourage people to build self-esteem, value heritage and promote positivity. The PWW works with different age groups starting from children living in villages, refugee camps and cities to international writers.
