The All-Around Culture program is pleased to announce that out of 56 eligible Alliances, 20 have been shortlisted as part of the first phase of selection of the Cultural Alliances component implemented by Culture Resource. Each Alliance consists of 3 cultural entities.

An independent jury evaluated the Cultural Alliances applications based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance of the proposed concept to the local context;
  • Ability of the Alliance to address urgent challenges or create opportunities within the cultural sector;
  • Originality and feasibility of the proposed idea;
  • Ability to broaden access to culture especially in non-urban communities;
  • Full engagement of the 3 partnering entities in implementing the idea while ensuring  sharing of knowhow, good practices and partnership building strategies;
  • Contribution to strengthening the cultural ecosystem at a national level throughout the proposed collaboration.

The 60 shortlisted cultural entities will participate in a regional online workshop from 22 June to 6 July 2021 to develop their collaboration projects, which will be reassessed by the jury. Only 12 Alliances will be selected in August 2021 to participate in the programme. They will be eligible for grants of up to  €110,000 to implement their collaboration projects.

*The members of the independent jury will be announced after the 2nd round of selection is complete.
