The Abbara program launched a five-day online workshop on Financial Planning & Financial Management on Tuesday 15 September 2020 for the organizations participating in its sixth round, as part of the capacity building component of the program.

The workshop introduced participants to tools that help organizations develop their financial systems to achieve their goals more efficiently. The Financial Planning and Management workshop builds on the former training sessions that Abbara organizations attended in August (Sustainability and business models) so that each of the participating organizations adopts an appropriate economic model that would suit its programs and goals.

The workshop was attended by 22 participants from the 11 organizations that are receiving support in Abbara 06. The sessions were facilitated by Therese Ghobriel (Egypt), Cultural Manager and Expert in financial management and organizational development & sustainability. The fourth day of the workshop featured a session by Yazan Khalili (Palestine/Syria), architect, artist, cultural producer, and former director of Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center (Ramallah, Palestine).
