Culture Resource is pleased to announce the call to apply for the pilot edition of its new project, Culture 3.0, which was designed in the framework of the Tech & Society Fellowship program with the Mozilla Foundation. The project aims to foster confidence among the cultural sector in the Arab region to challenge imposed digital economic models and to support fairer income and labor benefits for artists in current digital economies; it also aims to bring more artists in the region into tech policy, design and debate, to encourage collaboration between techies and the cultural sector, and to imagine, explore and test new models of digital economic organization for artists.
Culture 3.0 supports music, and the literary and publication sectors to ensure fairer online economic models. Towards this end, the project offers financial support of up to €14,000 to fund projects selected by a jury of experts in arts and culture, technology and economy. The project also offers a networking space and collective learning by convening the grantees and making connections with relevant resource people and organizations.
This project is designed for existing or emergent organizations and groups involved in the music, and literary and publication sectors, provided that they are founded and directed by artists and/or cultural actors from the Arab region. The project also targets active initiatives in the diaspora as long as they serve artistic and cultural production related to the Arab region.
The applications are accepted until 02 August, 2022 at 16:00 Beirut time.
