Nejib Belkadhi is a Tunisian filmmaker, actor, and producer. His first feature-length documentary “VHS-Kahloucha” was selected in over 50 festivals, including a world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and a selection in competition at the Sundance Film Festival. It won 7 awards at various festivals, including Best Documentary Film at the Dubai Festival in 2006. In 2013, his first feature-length fiction film “Bastardo” had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and later won 11 international awards. In 2018, he released his second feature-length fiction film, “Look At Me”, which was part of the official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival and more than 30 other international festivals including PÖFF, Los Angeles International Film Festival, and Marrakech International Film Festival. In 2021, he released his feature drama “Communion”, shot independently during the COVID-19 crisis. It was selected in a competition at the Red Sea International Film Festival and won Best Foreign Film at the New York City International Film Festival and Best Film at the Luxor African Film Festival.
