Saima Samoud is a violinist and an accomplished professional in the cultural and creative sectors. She holds a PhD in the History of Music and Musicology and is currently a Professor at the Higher Institute of Music in Tunisia. She has held key positions such as General Manager of the Center for Arab and Mediterranean Music Ennejma Ezzahra, Head of the Creative Europe desk in Tunisia, Director of the Music and Dance Department at the Ministry of Culture, and Director of prestigious institutions like the Music and Opera Center at the Cité de la Culture. She joined the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra as a violinist at the age of 17 and later contributed to the Ensemble Orchestral de Tunisie as both an administrator and violinist. Throughout her career, Saima has been actively involved in the cultural community, making significant contributions to various cultural events and organizations. Notably, she played a pivotal role in organizing the International Festival of Carthage's 50th edition and served as a member of the programming committee for the International Festival of Hammamet in 2016 and 2017. She also served on the management committee of the Journées Musicales de Carthage for three editions from 2015 to 2017.
