Teatro Dell’Argine

Lampedusa, the island, the symbol, the mirage, is the project core: Lampedusa mirrors dreams and frustrations, hopes and stereotypes of our two communities, the Tunisian and the Italian, united and divided by the Mediterranean. Two workshops, held by theatre experts of both organizations, will try to teach tools to young theatre professionals in both countries, to prepare them to work with teenagers from most disadvantaged areas. Training future trainers
and involving teens through interviews and theatre work are the chosen paths to build a long- term cultural action on local communities, give them working tools, give them voice.
Workshops will have final display and video, to be spread to sensitize both communities on the issues involved. A final video and performing event will take place in Lampedusa, involving citizens and non-citizens, i.e. migrants living in welcoming center.
