The fourth platform for young Arab theatre makers “Start of the Game” took place in Tunisia during the months of June and July 2009. The platform included 15 young actors, writers and directors from Algeria, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt and Morocco.

The platform was organized by Culture Resource in collaboration with SHAMS Association (Youth, Theatre and Cinema) in Lebanon and Al Hamrah Theatre in Tunisia. The participants worked under the supervision of the Lebanese director Roger Assaf. The participants presented a final performance on Al Hamra Theatre on Thursday 2 July in Tunisia.

Start of the Game provides Arab youth with an opportunity to discuss and develop new theatre projects, sharpen their skills, and add to their knowledge while engaging in group work.
