Culture Resource launches the open call for the eighth round of the Abbara program that aims to support collective cultural work, contribute to the development of the arts and culture sector and address the common challenges of independent cultural work across the Arab region. Abbara contributes to enabling independent cultural organizations and initiatives which are considered to be key actors in building a meaningful cultural sector for their societies by offering financial support of €22,000 in core funding, training in strategic planning and organizational management, technical support tailored to each organization on the basis of a needs assessment, and networking opportunities with other active organizations in the arts and culture sector.
This program is open to independent, non-governmental artistic and cultural initiatives/organizations in the Arab region, as well as Arab artistic and cultural initiatives/organizations in the diaspora whose work serves artistic and cultural production in Arabic.
Applications are accepted until 17 July, 2025 at 16:00 Beirut time.
