Anas Albraehe

Born in Syria, Anas Albraehe is a Beirut and Paris-based artist who primarily works in painting and theater performance. In 2014, he received a bachelor’s degree in painting and drawing from the Fine Arts University of Damascus, Syria. After the onset of the war in Syria, he relocated to Lebanon and obtained an MA in Psychology and Art Therapy from the Lebanese University. Albraehe’s solo exhibitions were showcased at Saleh Barkat Gallery 2024, Anita Rogers Gallery – New York 2022, Taint Gallery Germany - Munich 2022, and more. He has also participated in several group exhibitions, including the Middle East Institute Gallery in Washington DC, USA (2019) and Albareh Galerry in Bahrain (2015). Anas Albraehe participated in SAFIR TA'AROF 2017, an art workshop within the framework of the Sharjah Art Biennale, (2016-2017). He also took part in a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2020 and participated in a residency program in Benin in collaboration with Fondation Zinsou.
