Rama Halaseh

Rama is an international development and human rights professional specializing in civic engagement, freedom of expression, and cultural support programming. She’s worn multiple hats ranging from the design and implementation of programs on the ground to developing regional-level donor strategies and building coalitions for collective impact. Currently, Rama is working as an independent consultant supporting civil society and cultural organizations, including Artists at Risk Connection (ARC) in institutional strengthening and developing international advocacy strategies to advance freedom of expression globally. Rama’s previous experience includes leading Meta’s social impact policy programs in MENA, designing and spearheading the Open Society Foundation's work in advancing socially-engaged arts، strengthening cultural institutions and emergency response in times of crises across MENA. Rama holds an MA in Public Administration from Syracuse University and an MA in Diplomacy from the University of Malta.
