Culture Resource Foundation has announced the projects that have been awarded grants in the sixth round of the Tunisia Balad El Fann project. There are four winners:
1- “Cinema Oasis” (Kebili, Tataouine, Gabès)
The recipient of a $20,000 grant, Cinema Oasis, is a collaborative project between four independent cultural workers who took part in the sixth Tunisia Balad El Fann workshop: Mohamed El Khamis Shud (Kebili), Moubaraka Jemad (Kebili), Abdel Aziz Bouchemal (Gabès) and Mohamed Rached (Tataouine).
2- Ghomrassen Tabel Wedding Festival (Tataouine)
Awarded a $10,000 grant, the project was proposed by Nabil el-Abed, a government sector government worker in Tataouine.
3- Baba Sidi Tale for Puppets and Marionettes (Kebili)
The project was proposed by Mounira Kaddour, a government sector cultural worker in Kebili, and was awarded a $3,000 grant.
4- Bus’arts (Medenine)
The recipient of an $8,000 grant, the project was proposed by Ali El Boujdidi, an independent cultural worker in Djerba, Medenine.
