Culture Resource (Al-Mawred Al-Thaqafy) and Damascus Theater Lab, in collaboration with Shams Association, present the theater play “Shams & Majd” by Oussama Ghanam, on 14 and 15 December at the Sunflower Theater, Tayyouneh, at 19:00 (the duration of the play is 3h30min including a break).

English translation is available. This event is open to the public.

In present-day Damascus, Majd studies sociology and works as a waitress by day in a new coffee shop at the center of the downtown. In that same Damascus, Shams studies acting and works as a waitress by night in a bar located in one of the oldest streets, not only of the city but the whole world. Majd and Shams meet at the beginning or the end of the day in their rented room and thus share nights and days, tasks and moments, bread and alcohol, confrontations and regrets, stories and secrets, just like all little-big sisters do in this little-big world of ours.
