WASL‘s first meeting, held in Tripoli, Lebanon, from 25 till 29 March 2019, brought together the ten participants from Tunisia, Yemen, Sudan, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. This meeting offered the participants the opportunity to work together more closely on developing their five collaboration projects and planning the next steps which will include the implementation of the projects as well as exchanging field visits to the partner’s country in order to learn more about their working environment. The meeting was also an opportunity for mutual learning and exchange among the group and for gaining insights about the cultural and social landscape of the participants’ countries and the common challenges they are facing.
