The Arab Resource Center for Popular Arts, known as AL-JANA, was established in 1990 as a local non-governmental organization in Lebanon.
ARCPA works with marginalized communities in Lebanon, including refugees, by documenting their enriching experiences and creative contributions and building on them, while at the same time enhancing the capacity of youth towards conflict transformation, active learning, and creative and artistic expression.
Moreover, ARCPA specializes in producing educational and cultural resources based on community experiences and creative contributions. Its programs include interventions focusing on community development and social inclusion, resource mobilization, and active memory.
ARCPA is formed of community activists and artists who focus on utilizing non-traditional techniques to empower marginalized communities, including children, youth, women, community activists, artists and NGOs to develop their abilities and build on their strengths as active agents of change.
ARCPA believes marginalized communities can overcome adversity and cultivate richer societies using their inherent abilities and creative contributions.

Together Towards Effective Cultural Policies
The project consists of organizing a training workshop for young men and women involved in the arts and culture in marginalized communities in Lebanon, particularly in Palestinian and Syrian refugee camps. It aims to focus attention on the importance of culture and the arts in building self-renovating and innovative communities, and to broaden knowledge about cultural policies.
