Meltin’Art is a cultural space that was established in 2014 in Algiers. It offers workshops (painting, mosaic and music) for children, adolescents and adults.
“ À la rencontre d’un artiste ” was the first programmed workshop that aimed at introducing children to the major artists of art history through the reproduction of outstanding works. They meet there Van Gogh, Da Vinci and Baya, while practicing painting, mosaic or creative arts.
In addition to developing their general culture, everyone learns the basics of a specific artistic discipline.
During the confinement, the workshop was broken down into virtual challenges which brought together children from all over the world (Algeria, France, Azerbaijan, Canada, Portugal, Spain, etc). A virtual trip that allowed to discover 35 essential artists.
At the moment, a new project is under preparation: “Philosophy for Children ” to introduce the little ones to this discipline based on stories and myths.

Les Enfants du Nouveau Monde - An alliance between Éditions Barzakh, Éditions Motifs, and Meltin'Art
Our desire stems from creating a dynamic collective among the three of us to join our strengths and expertise with a bid to impact the Algerian cultural scene in a creative manner. Our two year collaborative project will involve a series of conferences to be held in Algiers, Oran, and in Kabylie region tackling contemporary problems which will be captured, recorded, dubbed, and disseminated on a wide scale via the internet in the form of sounds and videos. The aim of this project is not to hold a series of recurrent conferences but rather as a “Multi-disciplinary visual” ecosystem that aims to sustain the topics and content that have been discussed.
