Sahara for Development and Arts Association works in the field of arts and culture in the New Valley Governorate in Dakhla that lacks cultural and artistic services.
Sahara was able in a short time to attract a broad base of young people who love and perform arts and to form a network that enables them to communicate and present joint programs and performances.
Its programs include training a new generation of playwrights and storytellers by allowing them to share their stories and perform their shows with the help of trainers who were previously trained at the association.
The association also founded a cinema club that presents various screenings which contribute to improving the viewer's perception of cinema and arts. It has also conducted several workshops on filmmaking in order to help the participants know their value in their small community as well as identify and develop their talents. The association also opens its doors for children to learn painting and develop their talents.

Daem - An alliance between Fig Leaf Studios, Art Everywhere, and Sahara For Development And Arts Association
Daem Alliance seeks within the opportunity given to it by participating in the “Cultural Alliances” to serve its institutions through which it carry out its institutions’ objectives and activities of empowering young people and marginalised society segments to obtain their cultural rights. The alliance will work to establish a long-term partnership between its institutions at all levels to develop the institutions and to create joint projects.
This alliance is considered an important step to sustain its institutions in light of very difficult local and regional social, economic and political changes and challenges. The alliances will participate in developing a plan to develop their institutions and grow their presence and expand their activities outside the centrality of the Egyptian capital, in governorates and cities suffering from marginalisation and cultural deprivation, which counts as a step towards achieving cultural justice, bringing social change and the development of the Egyptian cultural system.
