Culture Resource is pleased to announce the names of projects that have been awarded grants in the four most recent rounds of project grants for the Tunisia Balad El Fann Project. Each of the 20 projects will receive up to 10,000 USD to implement their projects
2nd Session:
1: Reserve of Creators- Kef Governorate
The project is a part of a joint cooperation between Ammar Belgheith from Kahf El Funoun (Kef Governorate) and Nu’uman El-Habbasy of the the Kef Cultural Complex
2- Beyond the Walls- Sousse Governorate
Lilia El Ahmar of Taneet Association for Arts in Sousse received support for her project
3- Le Théâtre de Marionettes of Boufisha- Sousse Governorate
This project is by Najeeb Bin Aicha, the director of Boufisha House of Culture, representing the state cultural sector in the Sousse governorate
4- Gods of Water Breaking Silence- Zeghwane Governorate
We’aam Alsherif, a department manager at the Regional Commission for Culture of Zaghwane, representing the state cultural sector in Zeghwane, received support for his project.
5- Zekwa Icon- Zeghwane Governorate
The project is presented by Yassine El-Halawani, an associate professor of design, representing the independent cultural sector in Zeghwane Governorate.
3rd Session:
6- VITA SAWT EL FALAH Broadcasting station- Nabeul Governorate
The project is presented by Einass El Tawaeer, head of the Association of Development and Alternative Media of Beni Khlad, representing the independent cultural sector in the Nabeul governorate
7- Cineferma – Nabeul Governorate
The project is presented by “Mohammed Adnan El Hilali” from Nareng Cultural Association, representing the independent cultural sector in Nabeul Governorate
8- Ramam Academy for Children- Ben Arrousse Governorate
The project is presented by Bothaina El Kathiri, Director of the Al Morouj Culture House, representing the state cultural sector in Ben Arousse Governorate
9- Academy Bags- Baja Governorate
The project is presented by Hamza Ashour, an independent theatrical artist, representing the independent cultural sector in Baja Governorate
10- Naichou Fann Gathering- Baja Governorate
The project is presented by Abdulmoneim Shouiat, a professor at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, representing the Live Art Association in Jendouba Governorate

11- The Rachidi Institute of Tunisian Music – Kairouan Governorate
The project is presented by Hamida El Heliwi on behalf of the state cultural sector in Kairouan Governorate
12- Monastir.. The Capital of Puppets”- Monastir Governorate
The project is presented by Khaled Shannan, a senior instructor, representing the independent cultural sector of the Monastir governorate
13- Mon Carnival- Monastir Governorate
The project is presented by Omer Besbas, Head of the Department of Tourism Promotion at the Higher Institute of Applied Studies in Humanities, representing the independent cultural sector in the Monastir governorate
14- Even the Cement Wants to Say Something- Sfax Governorate
The project is presented by Abdullatif Mua’atar of the Dunya El Hekaya Association,
representing the independent cultural sector in the Sfax governorate:
15- Joker Mobile Circus”- Sfax Governorate
The project is presented by Mohammed Amin Bin Taher, an actor and circus arts trainer, representing the independent cultural sector in the Sfax governorate

The project is presented by Reda Hafiz, head of the Al Gem Cultural Complex, representing the state cultural sector in the Mahdia governorate

The project is presented by Salma Ben Abdelrahmane, the Director of Altahir Labeeb House of Culture in Mazoun, of the state cultural sector in Sidi Bouzeid
18- The Nation Rising Up – Sidi BouZeid Governorate
The project is presented by Manal Abdulkafi, a independent art teacher in Sidi Bouzeid
19- Feel at Home/Eddar Darkom- Gafsa Governorate
The project is presented by Eskandar Elruzgi, Director of Alshazly Elqutari House of Culture, of the state cultural sector in the Gafsa governorate
20- I Love You, My Nation- Al Qasrain Governorate
This project is presented by Hamza Ajlani of the independent cultural sector in Al Qasrain governorate
Tunisia Balad El Fann is a joint project of Cultural Resource and the Tunisian Ministry of Culture, that aims to raise the capacity of cultural actors in both the independent and state cultural sectors, as well as promote the decentralization of cultural activities and encourage cultural projects in a range of Tunisian cities.
