Hamdy Reda

Reda received a BFA in Painting from the University of Helwan, Cairo, and has actively participated in workshops and training programs focused on art history, curation, and cultural management. He established Artellewa, an artistic residency space in Ard El Lewa, Giza, where he served as the Director, facilitating dialogues between over 100 local and international artists and the community. His artwork mirrors the complexities of Egypt's social, political, and urban landscape, capturing contradictions, beauty, ugliness, wealth, poverty, modernity, and underdevelopment. Reda's diverse artistic portfolio spans painting, experimental photography, installation, and interactive artworks. He has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has garnered artistic awards and critical acclaim. Beyond his creative pursuits, Reda actively engages in curating and managing various artistic and cultural events, showcasing his commitment to fostering creative dialogue and mechanisms for artistic interaction.
