Kamal Khalladi is a playwright, researcher, and professor of playwriting and dramaturgy at Ibn Tofail Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Letters, Morocco He wrote the play “Damage” in collaboration with the Royal Court Theater in London and won the first Sharjah prize for Arab creativity in 2010 and the play “Casablanca” in collaboration with the Sundance Insitute in New York. His other plays include Makeover, We Need a Lot of Lies to Survive, Visa, and Salmon Meal, which have been performed in various Moroccan and international theaters. Khalladi participated in several projects and art residencies in the United States and Europe and has written numerous theatrical studies and research papers published in Moroccan and international books and journals. He has also participated in various research and creative seminars and intellectual conferences both inside and outside Morocco and has served as a jury member for numerous grant programs and art residencies in the MENA region.
